The Department of ISTEM (Innovation, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) plays a pivotal role in aligning our college with local and regional business needs while actively serving our community. With growth in 16-18 learner numbers and apprenticeships, our team is expanding, enhancing our curriculum delivery staff. The provision of apprenticeship development is an area where we believe new energies, ideas, innovation and subject leadership will have a profound change effect and we are looking for an exceptional candidate to work with us to achieve this. This department is integral to our ongoing success in inspiring, recruiting, and supporting young learners in their achievements across Lancashire. We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking individual to join our dynamic ISTEM School. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 (or above) qualification in a relevant Engineering area and possess recent of historic professional experience in an Engineering role. The ability to teach workshop skills as well as Engineering knowledge units would be advantageous but not essential.

Job Title: Work Based Tutor – Engineering
Salary: From £30,337 (SCP24) to £40,774 (SCP34) per annum pro rata.
(depending on qualifications and experience).
There will be an opportunity for progression within this pay range.
Hours: 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE)
