Thomas Tallis is a flourishing and popular school situated in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. We currently have over 2000 pupils on the school roll with around 800 students in our highly competitive sixth form. We are seeking an innovative and dedicated Marketing and Communications Officer to work alongside the Director of Communications to lead and develop the school’s communication strategies, creating effective publicity and communications materials for both internal and external audiences. You will play a leading role in developing and monitoring the consistent application of the school’s branding, whilst ensuring the school’s ethos and vision are communicated clearly and consistently.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in communications, marketing, PR, or a similar role, ideally within an educational context.
- Demonstrates excellent skills in visual communication, language, and ICT literacy.
- Is able to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, including senior leadership, teachers, and external partners.
- Has a keen understanding of the communications needs of schools and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

Located in Kidbrooke, south-east London, Thomas Tallis School is a large co-educational secondary school providing places to pupils aged 11-18. The school was originally founded in 1971. In 2012 it moved into a brand-new purpose-built building on the site of a former airfield.
With capacity for around 2,000 students, Thomas Tallis is larger than the average secondary school. It operates a large sixth form, welcoming students who have come up through Thomas Tallis School, as well as pupils from other schools in the local area.
