As a Junior Research Assistant Molecular Bioanalysis you will work in a lab- and office environment on our UK site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
In this role, you execute Molecular BioA (Mol BioA) laboratory operations independently with detailed review of results by experienced personnel.
- Analyze samples for various compounds and components in compliance with appropriate methodology, SOPs/Policies and regulatory agency guidelines (GLP/GCP).
- Prepares reagents and materials and maintains appropriate stock levels for study execution.
- Performs study supervision and lead analyst activities as assigned.
- Documents work appropriately and maintains study documentation and laboratory records in line with study plans, protocols, methods and other documentation as necessary.
- With oversight, drafts and reviews laboratory working documents.
- Identifies and documents deviations from expected results and works with line management and Lead Scientists to complete quality and study related records.
- Responsible for SPV (Second Person Verification) or QC (Quality Check) of study material.
- Assist in the set-up, maintenance, operation and performance of routine maintenance on general equipment.
- Makes suggestions for process improvements and participates in actions for resolution.
- Supports the implementation of startup priorities, systems and SOPs for the Mol BioA group.
- Provide input and participate in project meetings.
- May serve as key trainer on specific assays.

- Ability to work with a variety of different clients on wide ranging projects
Education and background:
Bachelors degree in a scientific area
1-2 years of industry experience in a regulated lab based position working with DNA/RNA extraction techniques
Experience with equipment and analysis related to technical area of responsibility is required
Experience in a high throughput regulated environment
GLP/GCP compliance experience and knowledge
Strong ability to learn is required
Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Organizational skills
Must be able to work in a laboratory setting
Basic understanding of laboratory operations
Basic knowledge of computers and software programs
