SUMMARY OF POSITION

What's the Gig, you ask?

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our growing team and assist the business with our ambitious plans for expansion.

As our new Finance Manager, you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate management accounts to help the leadership team with its decision making. You will also supervise the bookkeeping function, including line management of two members of the team.

We are looking for a finance professional with experience in a similar role, and a track record of robust accounting and record keeping. Previous experience of working in a fast paced multi-site commercial environment is desirable.

You will be diligent, with an eye for detail and an ability to quickly assimilate large quantities of data. You will also need to be a strong communicator with the confidence to do things differently and to recommend improvements to existing processes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role will include but may not be limited to the following responsibilities;

  • Production of monthly management accounts and assisting with financial reporting
  • Posting of month end accruals, prepayments, and other journal entries
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Preparation and submission of tax reports including VAT returns
  • Performing reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
  • Maintenance of bank accounts and payment portals
  • Managing integration and testing of data systems (e.g. EPOS)
  • Assisting the FC with the annual budget, forecasts, and modeling
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis

SKILLS, DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES

  • CIMA qualified, part-qualified or QBE
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar finance role is desirable
  • Ability to positively communicate with colleagues and external bodies in order to form and maintain good working relationship
  • Previous experience with Xero is desirable

You will be primarily be based at Clays support office in Moorgate with some flexibility to work from home as part of a hybrid working model.
