We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Operations & Systems Manager to join our Finance team on a 6 - Month FTC

Who we are looking for

Someone who:

  • Has AAT qualification or part qualified accountant FCA, ACCA, CIMA.
  • Has a sound understanding of accounting concepts and reporting requirements under relevant accounting standards
  • Ideally has experience working in Social Housing or Property
  • Able to develop direct reports and provide assistance with their day-to-day duties.

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Financial Accounting, Manage, motivate and support the Financial Operations team dealing with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Rent Accounting, cash and banking transaction processing, employee expense payments and credit card transactions.

The main duties of the role are as follows:

  • Manage and support the 3 Senior Finance Officers
  • Assist the Head of Financial Accounting in maintaining and reviewing the financial operations processes.
  • Support the requirements of internal and external customers in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Ensure the smooth and timely operation of operational workflows including scanning and shredding of documentation by the team.
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly Association Management Accounts developing reports from the Finance system (Exchequer) and QL Housing as appropriate to deliver timely reporting, with supporting documentation available electronically.
  • Prepare agreed supporting schedules and notes to support the Association’s annual financial statements for the annual audit.
  • Manage the preparation of accurate financial and performance information to budget holders, senior managers, the Executive Management Team and the Board.

All candidates must be able to commute to our office in Hemel Hempstead on three days each week with a maximum of two days working from home.
