Department Description
The Financial Control function covers a broad spectrum of financial responsibilities for the Bank. Under the leadership of the CFO and the finance department heads, the team is responsible for overseeing the accounting activities and ensuring the ledgers accurately reflect the banks transactions.
Role Description
We are looking for a motivated person, with a keen eye of detail. Working in the finance team is a fast-moving role, and the ideal candidate should feel comfortable in a busy environment where they can make a difference to a team throughout the day, grow and learn within the team. Primary duties consist of supporting Account Payable processing invoices and expenses accurately and timely. Supporting the wider business and suppliers on any queries relating to payments and general ledger allocations.
Principal Accountabilities
Daily monitoring of accounts payable inbox
Manage invoice input and allocation to various departments using Concur
Supplier management in Concur and NetSuite
Expenses and credit card management
Raise POs when required and PO tracker management
Support the continuous build of accounting/reporting processes and controls of the bank
Collaboration with other Finance team members
Ad-hoc finance tasks as required
Respond to all daily enquiries regarding suppliers, expenses and direct debits
Personal Attributes & Experience
- Previous experience in Payments & Treasury/ Back-office Support (inbound and outbound payments)
- Experience of using Concur accounts payable system
- Experience in dealing with complex payment queries
- Experience of core processes (e.g., payments processing, complaints, Direct debit management, general payment queries)
- Experience in working with workflow / task management tools
- Excellent oral and written skills as they will be constantly communicating with team and the wider business
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment – with a constant focus on delivery
- Conform to our ethical standards and conduct
- Act as an ambassador/advocate for Customer within the Bank
- Adhere to quality control requirements and ensure compliance with policy
