About the role: The Consolidation & Reporting Accountant is key to the Group’s financial reporting by ensuring accurate and on-time preparation of consolidated financial statements for management, our parent company and for statutory reporting. This is a new role which forms part of the newly created central finance team in London. The role will cover both month-end management reporting and year-end statutory reporting. You will have experience in a complex multinational group operating in multiple currencies with challenging month-end closing timetables. You will also be a significant contributor to the year-end audit. Key requirements: Consolidate group financials. Support the production of the monthly consolidated Management Information Report (MiS) for review by senior management. Supporting the preparation of the year-end consolidated accounts, ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies, statutory requirements and IFRS; including the preparation of notes and associated first reviews to ensure accuracy and clarity of explanation with a clear audit trail. To be a key contact for the year end audit process, including preparation of accounting guidance papers for internal users and technical accounting memos for external audit. Preparation of accounts and other information required for statutory compliance for selected Group entities. Support in identifying and implementing improvements to the consolidation process, for example, by identification and implementation of automation opportunities within the reporting process to reduce manual work, errors and process time. Contribute to accounting projects related to reporting. Deal with ad hoc internal and external requests, such as the provision of accounting support to local finance teams. Contributing to a high-performance, collaborative team culture within the Finance function, and the company more generally. Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and/or IFRS or local accounting standards (GAAP where applicable). Coordinate with external auditors to help manage the timelines and deliverables. Assist in preparing statutory financial statements for entities which require them and help manage the external audit process in collaboration with local auditors. Ensure compliance with all applicable corporate tax regulations and coordinate with external tax advisors where needed. Prepare financial performance reports and provide variance analysis on quarterly and annual results. Ensure intercompany balances are reconciled and agreed on a monthly basis. Assist the FP&A team with budget and forecast preparation. Accounting for Group share option schemes Requirements Qualifications: Qualified Accountant (ACA/CA/ACCA or equivalent) with consolidation experience from a complex business Ideally from an audit background. Experience in group financial accounting with multi-currency exposure. Statutory reporting and audit process with IFRS experience preferential Substantial experience in an accounting role within an international group Expertise in year-end preparation of consolidated accounts, managing the audit process, and preparing Statutory Accounts Significant experience in month-end accounting, Group Management reporting, and related commentary Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines Experience working with remote teams in subsidiaries Benefits What’s in it for you?
