We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Consultant to join our dynamic consultancy team. With a strong focus on the hospitality sector, particularly restaurants and hotels, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in analysing and improving IT systems for our clients. This position requires a strong understanding of technology solutions tailored for the hospitality industry, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of IT infrastructure and digital systems used in restaurants and hotels to identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with restaurant and hospitality teams to gather requirements and develop IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist in the implementation of restaurant management software, POS systems, reservation platforms, and digital ordering solutions.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot IT issues to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Prepare detailed documentation of IT system configurations, data security protocols, and user guides for hospitality clients.
- Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring restaurant staff and management teams can efficiently use digital tools.
- Stay updated on emerging hospitality tech trends, including cloud-based POS, AI-driven customer service tools, and cybersecurity best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in analysing complex data sets to drive IT decision-making.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant POS systems, reservation software, and cloud-based hospitality solutions.
- Experience in network setup, cybersecurity, and troubleshooting IT issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users, including restaurant staff and managers.
- Familiarity with payment integration systems, online ordering platforms, and CRM software is a plus.
- Experience with project management methodologies is advantageous.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or SQL is desirable but not essential.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
