We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in mechanical, electrical, AC and general handyman work, combined with the ability to lead and supervise maintenance activities. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment while contributing to overall productivity and safety.
Key Requirements:
- Must be self-employed, with a valid UTR and CIS registration.
- Sites include Heathrow Airport, so a Criminal Record Check will be required.
- Ability to provide verified employment records for the last five years.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work in diverse environments, including high-profile locations. Our clients are located in London, Leatherhead, Ascot, Oxford, Birmingham, and Manchester. Therefore, in the beginning, you may need to use your own transport to travel to various sites. However, a company van will be allocated to you after successfully passing your probation period.
You must be willing to travel for work to these locations as required. Additionally, as we work with both commercial and domestic clients, you must be comfortable working in both environments.

Duties
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues as they arise.
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to facilitate repairs and installations.
- Supervise junior maintenance staff, providing guidance and support in their tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs performed and parts used.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from other departments.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to implement improvements in processes and equipment reliability.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in electrical systems
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team effectively.
- Strong customer service orientation, ensuring that internal clients receive timely support.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good command of English, both written and verbal, for effective communication across the organisation.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong analytical skills.
