Job Description


As the Deputy Head of Group FP&A, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and insights that drive the business forward. Your responsibilities will include leading the coordination and consolidation of Group FP&A reporting, ensuring the delivery of actionable insights for the Executive team, Board, and senior management.

Collaboration is key, as you’ll foster strong relationships with senior management and cross-functional teams, aligning efforts to achieve strategic goals. You will also support investor relations by analyzing financial data for external market announcements, ensuring transparency and accuracy.

Your role extends to facilitating scenario planning, including assessing the financial impact of M&A activities. Acting as a trusted deputy for the Head of Group FP&A, you will contribute to the growth and development of the FP&A team, mentoring and coaching to cultivate talent and ensure ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the review and challenge of budgets, forecasts, and long-term strategic plans.
  • Lead the coordination and consolidation of Group FP&A reporting, delivering actionable insights for the Executive team, Board, and senior management.
  • Monitor business performance, KPIs, risks, and opportunities, providing commercially focused insights to inform decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial analysis, systems, and reporting processes.
  • Foster effective collaboration with senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Support investor relations by analyzing financial information for external market announcements.
  • Facilitate scenario planning, including the financial impact of M&A activities.
  • Act as a deputy for the Head of Group FP&A, contributing to team development through coaching and mentoring.

Qualifications


Skills & Abilities

  • Extensive senior-level experience within FP&A at a large or listed organization.
  • Strong influencing and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments, delivering high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
  • Proven leadership skills with a successful track record of managing and developing teams.
  • Recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
