Fund Accounting-Investment Oversight Internship

About the Internship

The CBRE Investment Accounting & Reporting (IA&R) Internship accelerates your learning and development by providing you with a strong foundation upon which to build your career in the commercial real estate industry.


CBRE IA&R is the only 100% dedicated Real Estate Fund and Property accounting business supporting Global and Pan-European coordination for clients providing Fund & SPV Accounting, Investor Reporting, and Performance Measurement services to real estate investment companies, sovereign wealth funds, and other institutional investors in key financial markets.

We offer a variety of opportunities in different business lines and locations:

  • Client Servicing (Fund Accounting and Investment Oversight) including:
  • Support with quarterly and year-end accounting and reporting for properties and related ownership entities.
  • Assist with the preparation of IFRS and Local GAAP annual accounts.
  • Coordination of all the information flow between the client (business), Fund team, property manager, SPV accountant and Investment Oversight team.
  • Assist with group consolidations.
  • Calculation/review of straight-lined rent incentives and other IFRS Adjustment.
  • CIT, Deferred Tax Asset (DTA) & Deferred tax liability (DTL) estimate/calculation and preparation of tax analysis packs.
  • Coordination of explanations and answers on management accounting packs.
  • Validation on the intercompany positions reported.
  • Coordinate and support the audit process.
  • Supports clients in transactions (Sales/Acquisitions/Entity set ups and liquidations).

Person Specification/Requirements

  • A forward-thinking and enthusiastic individual with a passion for accounting
  • Self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and proactive with a positive attitude
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and good time management
  • Good MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to speak/read/write in English
