Purpose of the role:
The Credit Control Finance Assistant is an integral part of the busy Finance Team. With shared responsibility for credit control tasks and all bank postings across the group.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Ownership of group customer ledger's, both daily and month end tasks
- Dealing with both national and international multicurrency customers
- New customer process – DocuSign, credit safe reports, create customer cards
- Have a full understanding of sales ledger's
- Release of sales orders for stock-picking/packing and sales order releasing – liaising with Operations/Sales team
- Proactive approach to debt collection
- Facilitate resolution of customer queries
- Posting of multicurrency bank postings
- Customer remittance and payment allocation
- Any other reasonable duties required by the business, as directed by the line manager
- Ensure banking entries across the group are entered into the system on a timely basis

- Reconcile bank to statement and GL per month end timetable
What you'll need:
- Have at least 12 months in Credit Control and/or accounting function.
- Proactive approach to resolve and escalate any issues on timely basis (before invoice due date)
- Possess excellent customer service skills with a confident and positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience using Styleman and Business (Central) Dynamics 365 – will be an advantage
- Possess good Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables and VLOOKUP desirable)
- Have a hands-on approach and keen attention to detail
- Have the ability to work well independently and as part of a team
