Finance Officer Join a Social Care Charity Making a Difference
Location: Remote (A weekly visit to our service in North London is required)
Salary: £21,000-£24,000
Hours: Full Time
Contract: 12 month fixed term contract

About the Role
As our Finance Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial administration of the charity. Your work will help ensure we manage our resources effectively, so we can continue delivering life-changing services.
Key Responsibilities:
Input and maintain financial records with accuracy and attention to detail
Process invoices, payments, and staff expense claims
Assist with bank reconciliations and bookkeeping tasks
Support the preparation of financial reports and data entry for budgeting
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding finance queries
Provide general administrative support to the finance team
About You
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual who thrives in a supportive and mission-driven environment. You dont need to be a fully qualified accountant, but some experience in finance administration, bookkeeping, or data entry would be beneficial.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in a finance-related role (bookkeeping, accounts assistant, data entry, etc.)
Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage)
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A passion for working in the charity sector and supporting vulnerable individuals
Desirable:
AAT qualification or working towards a finance qualification (not essential)
Experience working in the non-profit or social care sector
