Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our Ice cream team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving Around and selling ice cream cones and dessert’s goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers

Duties

• Operate a van and keep the van clean and tidy deliver desserts to designated locations in a timely manner.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working condition And levels are all topped up.
• Load and unload your stock , ensuring that the van is equipped with the stock that you need for the day ahead secured properly for transport.
• Maintain accurate temperature logs and records of vehicle cleaning schedule daily maintenance.
• Communicate with staff and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients.

Skills

• experience as a Van Driver or in a similar role, preferably with experience in driving commercial vans
• Strong knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance like top up oil and water ect
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
