Job Description
Due to ongoing growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our specialist Finance Operations Group.
You will assist with:
- Managing the financial records for the firm, maintaining and posting prepayments and accruals, maintaining the fixed asset register and calculating deprecation charges.
- Maintaining the purchase ledger, for firm expenses.
- Liaising with managers, partners and support staff as necessary to provide an accurate and efficient service.
- Processing the calculations for PAYE settlements.
- Preparing the financial reports for auditors and external boards.
- Preparing month, quarter and year end processes.
You will ideally:
- Be working towards or have obtained a professional qualification in accounting (AAT, ACCA, ACA, CIMA) ideally level 2 or above.
- Have previously worked in a ‘hands on’ accounts payable or purchases role.
- Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and to deal with individuals at all levels.
- Have excellent attention to detail, organisational, and time management skills.
- Have good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
