Treasury Associate Full Time

In this newly created hire, the incoming Treasury Associate will assist the Treasury Manager implement the wider Cash Management and Treasury strategy.


Key Priorities


  • Support the maintenance of a comprehensive knowledge base for Treasury operations, documenting best practices and specialized processes to assist the team with complex operational matters.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices in the custodian sector, assisting in the identification and analysis of process improvements.
  • Contribute to improving the efficiency of Treasury operations by supporting process enhancements, automation initiatives, and technological advancements.
  • Assist in daily cash positioning and short-term liquidity forecasting to ensure accurate financial management and timely settlement of client transactions.
  • Help manage the client payment process, ensuring payments are processed accurately and on time, while maintaining controls to minimise errors and delays.
  • Support the identification and reporting of operational and financial risks within Treasury functions, contributing to the development of strategies to mitigate such risks.
  • Assist with managing collateral and liquidity management processes to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Participate in training activities, staying up to date with industry best practices and regulatory changes to help maintain operational excellence.
  • Assist in maintaining relationships with external parties such as clients, auditors, counterparties, and banking providers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.


Required Skills & Experience


  • A basic understanding of Treasury operations, including cash management, liquidity forecasting, and securities lending.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices in financial services.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately process financial transactions.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive and eager approach to learning and development within Treasury operations.
  • Proficiency with relevant financial systems and software tools is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively within a team and with external stakeholders.
  • A positive attitude towards problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., CISI, IOC, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential

Company benefits are provided on completion of either six months service, or a successful probation period whichever is sooner.

Entitlement outlined above is in respect of full-time entitlement, and will be provided to part-time workers on a prorate basis in accordance with the relevant scheme rules.
