Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Location: Hybrid (4 days onsite in London Bridge)

Term: 12 Month FTC, Full-time

Salary: £25,000 + Benefits (Private Medical, Private Dental, Pension, 25 days Annual leave plus bank holidays & Many more)

The Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Accounts assistant to join our team. The main purpose of the Accounts Assistant is to is to provide support to our Management Accountant to enable the successful execution of financial activities within Richmond Pharmacology. As the Accounts Assistant you will apply your accounting knowledge and financial understanding to assist in various aspects of financial management, including direct collaboration with the Management Accountant on daily tasks such as accurately inputting data and compiling information to help maintain data integrity.


Main duties and responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare and maintain financial journals, ensuring the comprehensive documentation of all financial transactions.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card transactions, ensuring alignment with financial records and posting transactions accurately.
  • Prepare back up documents for pass-through costs.
  • Validate invoices against items or services received, ensuring both accuracy and compliance on all financial transactions.
  • Execute payment processes and handle documents such as invoices, guaranteeing timely and accurate financial transactions.
  • Enter key financial data into the company’s accounting system.
  • Enter and code financial transactions into our accounting system where necessary.

Additional responsibilities

  • Perform as hoc reconciliations pertaining to both Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Review employee expenses and facilitate timely reimbursements as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completed Level 1 AAT
  • Proficiency in bookkeeping practices· Knowledge of accounting rules and legislation
  • Experience with accounting systems
  • Strong grasp of accounting terminology
  • Experience using Access Financials accounting software (Desirable)
