Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Tax Senior to join our growing team at Haslers, a dynamic and forward-thinking firm. As a Tax Senior, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients. You will work closely with our Tax Managers and Partners to ensure clients receive effective tax strategies, as well as providing guidance and support to junior staff.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for and supervise a portfolio of personal and corporate clients.
  • Prepare personal and corporation tax returns using tax software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Provide clients with timely and accurate advice regarding tax planning and opportunities for tax efficiency.
  • Monitor key tax deadlines and ensure all compliance work is completed within required timeframes.
  • Liaise with clients, government departments and third parties by e-mail, phone, or post in accordance with Haslers standards.
  • Collaborate closely with managers and partners, working within a supportive team environment.
  • Supervise junior staff and provide support in reviewing their work, particularly in tax return preparation and general compliance tasks, aiding their development.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

Skills required:

  • CTA qualified or nearing completion of the qualification
  • At least 3 years' experience in both Personal and Corporate Tax
  • Strong practical and technical tax knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a high standard of English
  • Confident, self-motivated, and able to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Demonstrates commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
  • Enthusiastic and proactive, with a desire to develop
