What exactly will you be doing?

As a key member of AAT’s marketing team, you will be responsible engaging B2B audiences and driving commercial growth with AAT’s products and services. You’ll develop our B2B marketing strategy, and work with our Product, Brand and Market Development teams to connect businesses to the AAT qualifications, apprenticeships, membership, and training products they need to help their organisations thrive. Working with our in-house digital team and external agencies, you’ll be responsible for developing effective go to market plans and campaigns, undertaking regular optimisation to maximise ROI. You’ll also utilise your strong communication and leadership skills to support and line manage a Marketing Executive to deliver campaign activity.

Major objectives
The B2B/ Commercial Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition and customer lifetime value, retention and loyalty, and commercial growth for AAT’s products and services. This requires a deep understanding of AAT’s audience needs, behaviours, and preferences, and ability to design and implement activities that resonate with them.

What are we looking for?

  • An understanding of fundamental marketing principles and how it complements sales/business development
  • An applied understanding of key digital marketing channels and approaches, including video, social media, email and content platforms
  • An ability to manage agencies, influence stakeholders and coach, support and develop others.
  • Understanding of the principles informing effective content creation and distribution across different channels
  • Knowledge of how to build, maintain and enhance brand through effective messaging and positioning
  • An applied understanding of using CRM and digital analytics platforms ( HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, GA4, PowerBI)
  • Basic understanding of budgeting and managing marketing finances to ensure activity is cost effective and delivers a strong ROI
  • An understanding of GDPR and other relevant legal and ethical considerations
  • Proven ability in developing long term plans that align with the business goals including competitive analysis and understanding target audience behaviour
  • Ability to build a deep understanding of the audience needs and preferences to create effective marketing that resonates
  • Proficient in email, social media, content marketing, PPC, with an understanding of SEO
  • Able to utilise and interpret data to measure campaign/project effectiveness, make data driven decisions and adjust approaches as needed
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects on time and on budget
