Role Overview
The IT Manager will oversee end-user desktop services, local servers, security management, and network support.
Requirements:
End-User Desktop Services:
- Technical Support: Assist with hardware/software issues and troubleshooting.
- Installation and Configuration: Set up desktop systems and configure user settings.
- User Account Management: Manage user accounts and permissions.
- Software Deployment: Oversee software installation and updates.
- Device Management: Maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Support MFA registration and maintenance.
- Security Management: Implement antivirus, firewalls, and monitor vulnerabilities.
- Backup and Recovery: Provide backup solutions and data recovery services.
- Performance Monitoring: Track system performance and optimize configurations.
- User Training and Documentation: Provide training and support during system transitions.
- Remote Support: Use remote desktop tools to troubleshoot issues.
- Monitoring and Feedback: Collect feedback and report recurring issues.
Local Servers & Security Management:
- Server Management: Monitor server performance, schedule backups, and apply updates.
- Security Management: Maintain firewall controls and manage access policies.
Network Support & Maintenance:
- Network and LAN: Respond to network issues and resolve hardware/software problems.
- Wireless Network: Address connectivity issues and support users.
- Infrastructure Cabling: Troubleshoot and repair cabling issues.
- Operational Support Systems (OSS): Use tools to resolve user issues.
- Last-Mile Providers: Collaborate with providers to resolve connectivity issues.
- Local End Users: Act as the first point of contact for network-related issues.
- Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC): Support network changes with minimal disruption.
