As part of our exciting period of growth, we're restructuring the engineering department to support ambitious goals, and we’re looking for a dynamic Technical Engineering Manager to head our Simulation and Control capability. This is more than a managerial role – it’s a unique opportunity to blend hands-on technical work with high-level leadership.

With significant industry experience in one or more of our business areas (>12 years), the successful candidate should have a relevant degree with technical hands-on experience and knowledge in modelling including with some of the following tool sets:
The successful candidate must currently hold Security Check (SC) clearance or be eligible to obtain SC.
This role will be based in our Bristol office however as part of our commitment to flexible working, employees are able to work from home for part of the week. - Hydromechanical system modelling
- Electro-mechanical equipment modelling
- Multi-body simulation
- Servo/motor control
- Vehicle level control (control laws, auto-pilots, etc)
- Landing gear systems modelling and design
- Hydraulic system modelling and design
- Hydraulic equipment design
- Electro-mechanical actuator modelling, control and design
- Flight dynamics modelling and analysis
- Motor control
- Flight control system modelling, control and design
- Flight stability and control law analysis
- Marine vessel auto-pilots and hover function design
- Lead from the front: You'll be deeply involved in hands-on technical work while driving the strategic direction of the Simulation and Control team.
- Shape the future: Oversee the development and management of cutting-edge mathematical models and detailed analyses for some of the most exciting industries today.
- Collaborate and innovate: Work closely with other capability managers to align resources, skills, and expertise to meet ambitious project goals.
- Grow the team: Manage talent, foster skill development, and provide technical leadership to ensure your team thrives.
- Future targets: Contribute to project proposals and bids, including technical solution and cost estimates.

- Matlab/Simulink and associated toolboxes
- ADAMS
- Amesim
- Leadership
