Job Description:
We are seeking a Creative Director/Producer to join our team and lead the development of content for our animated YouTube channel. As a key figure in content creation, you will drive the production of engaging, educational, and visually compelling videos around complex topics, particularly related but not limited to the maritime industry, ships, and naval engineering.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in narrative content production, with the ability to transform intricate concepts into entertaining and informative animated stories. You’ll collaborate closely with scriptwriters, animators, and other content creators to ensure high-quality, engaging videos that captivate our audience and align with our channel’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Development: Develop deep, nuanced narratives around specific topics, particularly focused on technical subjects like ships, naval engineering, and the maritime industry.
- Scriptwriting Collaboration: Work closely with scriptwriters to transform complex technical topics into compelling animated stories that are both educational and entertaining.
- Animation Guidance: Provide direction to animators on visualizing intricate concepts, ensuring animations align with the narrative and enhance the storytelling.
- Research & Fact-Checking: Conduct in-depth research and ensure the accuracy of the content, ensuring all facts are well-researched and verified.
- Production Management: Oversee the production workflow, manage project timelines, and coordinate with animators and editors to ensure timely and quality delivery of each video.
- Quality Control: Ensure that videos maintain consistent quality, meet educational objectives, and are engaging for the audience.
- Storytelling & Refinement: Collaborate with the team to refine narrative structure, pacing, and educational/entertainment value.
- Audience Analytics: Track video performance and audience reception, using insights to refine future content strategies.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in narrative content production, preferably within animation or educational content.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to break down complex topics into engaging and digestible content.
- Proven storytelling abilities, with an eye for creative problem-solving and content development.
- Experience working in a creative, fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in using project management tools to track progress and deadlines.
- Familiarity with the animation process and understanding of how to guide animators and other creative professionals.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of narrative development and how to adapt stories for animation.
- Basic knowledge of animation production processes (2D/3D).
- Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
- Ability to analyze and interpret performance analytics (YouTube Insights, Google Analytics, etc.) to inform content strategy and improvement.
