Email Marketing Copywriter UK Full Time

Global Insight Conferences, a market-leading conference, and exhibitions company, is on the hunt for an excellent copywriter!

As an Email Marketing Copywriter at Global Insight Conferences, you will be responsible for creating compelling and engaging email campaigns aimed at promoting our conferences, increasing registrations and enhancing attendee engagement. You will be deadline driven and enjoy producing high-quality, engaging content and opening hooks that resonates with our target audience, drives action, and reflects the tone and values of our brands.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Email Campaign Creation: Write, edit, design and optimise email copy for a variety of email campaigns.
  • Content Strategy: Create fresh new email hooks and email copy that boosts engagement, drives conversions, and strengthens brand messaging.
  • Audience Segmentation: Understand and segment email lists based on attendee profiles, interests, and engagement history to create personalised, targeted email campaigns that drive higher open and click-through rates.
  • A/B Testing: Plan and execute A/B tests to continually improve email subject lines, content, design, and calls to action (CTAs) for maximum effectiveness.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Monitor email performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, etc.) and provide detailed reports and recommendations to improve future campaigns.
  • Event Content Collaboration: Work with conference producer and other stakeholders to ensure email content is aligned with event objectives and reflects event details such as schedules, speakers, topics, and sponsors.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest trends in email marketing, best practices, and the conference and events industry to deliver relevant and impactful email campaigns.
  • Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure that all email campaigns are compliant with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and follow industry standards for email marketing.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: At least 2-4 years of proven experience in email marketing copywriting.
  • Writing Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to create clear, persuasive, creative and engaging content tailored for different audiences.
  • Email Marketing Platforms: Experience with email marketing tools such as Dotmailer, Adestra, HubSpot, Constant Contact, or similar platforms.
  • Creative & Strategic Thinking: Ability to combine creativity with strategy to produce high-impact email campaigns that drive results.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple email campaigns at once, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Strong understanding of email performance metrics (open rate, click-through rate, etc.) and experience using data to optimize campaigns.
  • Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with marketing, design, and event teams.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with changing priorities.

· Multitasking & Organisational Skills: Proven ability to effectively multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills are essential to managing several campaigns simultaneously without missing key deadlines or details.Desirable Skills:

  • Conference & Event Knowledge: Experience or a keen interest in the conference and events industry.
  • SEO & Content Marketing: Knowledge of SEO principles and how they apply to email copywriting is a plus.
  • Design Skills: Experience in designing emails to ensure email designs complement the copy effectively.
