Responsibilities:
- Analysing functional requirements modelled in SysML and defined within textual sub-system specifications.
- Liaising with Domain Subject Matter Experts in order to elaborate or further explore complex functional behaviour.
- Writing functional test cases / specifications in order to generate progressive assurance and verification evidence.
- Defining traceability mechanisms between requirements and test cases.
- Liaising with the Systems Engineering Team in order to ensure that any test cases are valid, traceable, feasible and will provide the necessary evidence.
- Liaising with the wider Systems Integration Team to ensure that test cases are pragmatic, comprehensive, realistic and achievable.
- Liaising with the wider Systems Integration Team to ensure that the test cases are compatible with the Business’ resource, toolset, skillset and schedule requirements.
- (Potentially) executing the defined System Test Cases within an Integration Laboratory environment.
- Providing regular progress updates to the Project Management and Systems Integration Management teams.
- Identifying, reporting and proposing mitigation for risks, issues and dependencies.
- Electronics / Systems Engineering / Systems Integration background.
- Ability to read and interpret SysML Models, especially Sequence and Internal Block Diagrams.
- Ability to interpret textual functional requirements.
- Experience of writing detailed test cases in order to verify complex system behaviour.
- Experience in Microsoft office applications; Word, Excel, Visio etc.
- Ability to interpret application layer protocol specifications.
- Familiarisation with Model Based Systems Engineering (CAMEO preferred).
- Familiarisation with DOORS Requirements Management software.
- Familiarisation with Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management software.
- Familiarisation with the usage and capability of analysis tools and software such as Vector CANoe and Wireshark etc.
- Familiarisation with ISO 11898 CAN or MilCAN.
- Familiarisation with ethernet protocols.
- Familiarisation with serial communication protocols.
- Experience of Weapon Systems integration, test or design.
- Experience in the Defence Industry.
