Job description

Our client, a prestigious commercial chambers, is looking for an experienced Events and Marketing Executive to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing events, managing social media and website content, and producing high-quality marketing materials. You will work closely with the Head of Marketing to ensure seamless and professional client experiences while supporting the overall marketing strategy.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the legal or professional services industry, with a strong focus on event management and digital marketing. We are seeking applications from a creative, detail-oriented self-starter, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships and solve problems effectively. Seminars/events

Responding to market needs and strategic objectives through the organisation and management of seminars and events (both domestic and international), principally by being responsible for:

· Sourcing quotes and planning options for events and hospitality, including negotiating discounts

· Identifying key contacts from the database and researching new targets to invite and advertising the event on the website/social media (where appropriate)

· Ensuring boardrooms/venues available and equipment is available/working and booking external venues and suppliers

· Organising the front of house arrangements, and supervising the production of guest lists, badges, hand-out notes etc

· Running the seminar/event on the day, with help from other staff (if required)

· All post-seminar/event follow-up activities, including updating the database

Materials production

· Editing slides for seminars and presentations using PowerPoint

· Producing marketing literature and collateral in InDesign

· Updating chambers email signatures

· Managing the relationship with various suppliers and agencies

Direct Mail/database

· List research/creation, database maintenance, email marketing etc

· Collating feedback responses for mailshots etc

· Development of the Lex practice management system to improve marketing activities and strategic reporting

Advertising/sponsorship

· Production of adverts and co-ordinating sponsored events

Media relations

· Monitoring cuttings agencies and results

Website, social media and intranet

· Maintaining and developing the chambers website, acting as primary contact and managing the relationship with the website developers to suggest improvements and updates

· Provide day-to-day support to barristers with the website as required, including working with new tenants/pupils to create their profiles

· Ensuring articles, amendments, press coverage and future/past events are up to date on the website and posted as required

· Production and management of day-to-day social media

· Reporting from Google Analytics

· Updating the intranet with a weekly events diary, Google Analytics report and press coverage

Awards / Legal directories

· Managing the legal directory submission process

· Researching and drafting submissions for various awards

Working with and supporting the Head of Marketing on:

· Key client care programme – analysis of market data, trends and opportunities

· Arranging in-house talks to clients

· Undertaking informal competitor analysis

· Business Development Committee general administration

· Annual marketing report

· Liaising with the legal directories editors

· Advising MoC about drafting submissions

General Responsibilities

· To provide and maintain a first class, courteous and professional service always

· To support an 'open culture' between staff members and Members of Chambers, in which Individuals feel able to share ideas and express opinions

· To project manage specific marketing initiatives

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
