IT Delivery Manager

We are recruiting for an IT Delivery Manager to join our Innovation team within our Currency division on a 12-month fixed term contract.
As a Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for forming a new cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team that ensures we deliver high-quality value to De La Rue’s design team. The role holder will ensure that the software produced enables the Design team to push the boundaries of secure banknote design. To achieve this, you will act as a conduit between business stakeholders, end-users, and the technical team to ensure high-quality deliverables against an agreed roadmap.
You will also push for continuous improvement throughout the process, focusing on people, process and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand priorities and develop roadmaps for transparency
- Lead on agile and lean practices that enable the teams to collaborate and deliver value for customers and the business as efficiently as possible
- Collect and report on key team metrics to stakeholders
- Work with key stakeholders and partner on decisions to improve processes that surround the product teams, so that delivery is as efficient and impactful as possible
- Sequence work to deliver value to customer delivery milestones
Contract type: Fixed Term (12 Months)
Working hours: Full Time – 36.5 hrs per week (9am – 5:15pm Mon, 9am – 5pm Tues – Fri)
Base location: Basingstoke
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- A strong understanding of the full software testing lifecycle & methodologies with experience of Functional, Integration and Regression testing
- Recognised as a leader and expert in Agile, (SAFe, Scrum and Kanban), you will leverage this skill to stamp your mark on all aspects of our transformational journey to ensure that our teams are ‘being Agile’ and not just ‘doing Agile’.
- Strong understanding of software delivery and the principles and practices of BDD & TDD
- Experience of delivering complex business and technical projects
- Full system lifecycle experience
- Track record of managing cross-dependencies and prioritisation.
- Proven experience of driving continuous, provable improvements and efficiencies in a delivery environment.
- Certified qualification in Agile Scrum
- Experience of Azure DevOps, Jira and Confluence
- Be an advocate for continuous professional development
- Experience of delivering quality and value for money.
