Employment Type: Full time Monday-Friday (Flexible – 6:30am to 3:00pm, 10am to 6:30pm, 1pm to 9:30pm)Location: Orpington, Southeast London (hybrid applicants considered)

Education/Experience:
Any one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant discipline.
- IT Diploma.
- A Level (Or equivalent).
- 1 – 2 Years of experience in Cloud Systems Administration or related role.
- Microsoft Certified – Azure Administrator Associate.

The Role
You will work directly in our Vice President of Technology’s team to be responsible for the deployment, configuration, management, and monitoring of cloud environments, ensuring system reliability, performance, security and availability. This role supports cloud infrastructure operations by optimizing the use of cloud resources, automating tasks, and troubleshooting issues across cloud systems.
The role will create opportunities for cross team collaboration with our training and software success representatives. Role specific training and assistance will be available per requirement.
The role will initially be tailored to match the experience of the successful candidate, allowing expansion into other areas to help support both personal and professional development.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure and manage cloud-based systems and services – Azure.
- Ensure the availability, scalability and reliability of cloud infrastructure.
- Optimize resource utilization and cost-efficiency in the cloud environment.
- Monitor cloud services, applications and resources for performance & availability.
- Respond to system alerts, troubleshoot issues and implement fixes in a timely manner.
- Analyse system logs and metrics to identify trends, potential risks and performance bottlenecks.
- Implement security best practices, including network security, access control and data protection.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine cloud infrastructure tasks.
- Design, implement and task cloud back up and disaster recovery plans.
- Work closely with developers and IT personnel to support cloud applications, provide technical support and document infrastructure, processes and procedures.
- Apply updates, patches and security fixes to cloud infrastructure.
- Plan and execute cloud system upgrades.
- Maintain records of cloud system configuration, incidents, changes and maintenance schedules.
- Generate reports on system performance, security incidents and compliance status for management.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of the Azure Cloud platform and the PaaS/SaaS model.
- Proficiency in cloud management tools and dashboards.
- Understanding of networking concepts (VPN, load balancing, DNS, etc.)
- Knowledge of security practices (encryption, firewalls, security groups)
- Understanding of change management, DevOps practices & CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to effectively log/track work completed, writing up solutions for common tasks/issue resolutions.
- Ability to provide Remote support for on premise and cloud hosted systems.
- A high standard of written and verbal communication.
- An excellent telephone manner with good personal skills.
- Able to prioritise workloads and deal with changing priorities.
- Self-motivated with a “can-do” approach.
Desired Skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server Management studio.
- Experience working in a dynamic IT team.
- An interest in web interface design and product usability.
- Ability to coherently discuss and resolve complex issues using all available technology and support.
- Background knowledge of IT projects and processes.
