Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Technical Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our clients, ensuring that their software and hardware issues are resolved efficiently. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of various operating systems, and the ability to communicate effectively with users at all levels.

Duties

  • Provide first-line support for software troubleshooting and computer hardware issues.
  • Assist users in navigating and resolving problems related to Windows, Mac OS, and other operating systems.
  • Utilise tools such as Jira and ServiceNow for ticket management and issue tracking.
  • Support VPN connectivity issues and assist with remote access configurations.
  • Communicate clearly with clients to understand their technical challenges and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain documentation of support processes, solutions, and user interactions for future reference.
  • Collaborate with other IT support staff to escalate complex issues when necessary.

Experience

  • Proven experience in IT support or a similar technical role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of software troubleshooting techniques and computer hardware components.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Jira and ServiceNow is advantageous.
  • Experience working with various operating systems including Windows and Mac OS.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively assist users in resolving their technical issues.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
