Role overview: We’re looking for a talented individual to support the Director of Internal Communications and Engagement. This role will help oversee internal communications, the introduction of our new social intranet, and internal communications events. What you will do:
  • You’ll be helping to develop and engage our 2,500 with our exciting growth story, strategy and priorities.
  • You’ll work closely with our colleagues in the HR and Marketing teams, to help shape the narrative that brings our growth story to life.
  • You’ll partner with members of the Executive Leadership Team and support with key internal communications and engagement initiatives.
  • You’ll support with the transition away from Workplace to our new communications tool and then be responsible for helping to manage that tool going forward.
  • You will produce engaging and impactful content, to help support Planet’s strategy, priorities and business operations.
  • You’ll manage key virtual events such as our Annual Kick Off, All-Company Town Halls and ‘Ask Us Anything’ sessions.
  • You will work closely with our Employee Engagement Executive, to help drive a connected and engaged workforce.
  • You’ll also support with crisis and issues communications and other HR and corporate communication activities as required.
Who you are:
  • A minimum of five years’ experience working in internal communications or corporate communications, ideally for a payments or technology business.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with a flair for simplifying complex information to suit the audience.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • A team player and excellent communicator.
  • Able to work on multiple projects and collaborate with colleagues across the business, and happy to switch between tasks and priorities at short notice.
  • A passion for creating visual assets, with the ability to create content using Canva, Adobe Suite, Photoshop and video editing apps
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office, Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel and quick to pick up new skills and technologies.
  • Problem solving mentality driven by delivering measurable results and passionate about supporting the business growth.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.
  • Motivation to work in a fast-paced high growth environment.
  • Able to work in a hybrid environment with colleagues across the UK and Europe.
  • A keen eye for detail.
