IT Infrastructure Technician Full Time

Key Objectives


You will be key in the day-to-day support of the company IT estate, being the main point of contact for users. You will maintain, develop and improve all the IT systems to facilitate the company’s busy working environment and use IT to help the company gain a competitive advantage.
The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, a problem-solving mindset and excellent communication skills.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Install, configure and maintain hardware and software components of servers, networks and IT systems ensuring that they are up to date and functioning optimally.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve network issues including connectivity problems, performance issues and security incidents.
  • Administer and maintain the servers including routine maintenance, patching and upgrades. Ensure backup systems are functioning and data integrity is maintained.
  • Monitor firewalls and antivirus/malware protection, ensuring compliance with data standards.
  • Provide technical support for end users; troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software and connectivity issues in a timely manner. Assist setting up users with accounts, permissions, passwords and desk moves.
  • Assist with IT infrastructure projects including system upgrades and new technology implementations.
  • Liaise with vendors for procurement, repair and technical support of IT equipment. Manage warranties and service agreements.
  • Assist in the development and execution of disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity. Regularly test backups and recovery systems.
  • Monitor user issues and feedback to the software development team to enhance the internal systems.
  • Recommending and implementing alternative technical solutions to meet requirements more efficiently.
  • Assisting the HR department during the onboarding and offboarding of users
  • Support the company with adhoc duties

Salary - £35,000 - £45,000 DOE
