IT Business Analyst Full Time

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced IT Business Analyst to assist with a specific project to procure and implement an IT system across our Housing Service. You will be a part of this project through concept, design, delivery and implementation focussing solely on the data gathering and data cleansing workstream.

This is a 2 year fixed term role and will be working closely with colleagues across West Northants Council and Northamptonshire Partnership Homes

Interviews will be held week commencing 9th December.

What will you be doing?

Manage the end to end delivery of data information and exception reports for data cleansing purposes, making sure delivery is to specified deadlines and budget.

Lead the evaluation of all aspects of the business and stakeholder’s data requirements by assessing, documenting and obtaining formal sign off of the impact of change and proactively identify data solutions that deliver sustainable benefits

Ensuring that IT Transformation projects are delivered on-time and that they achieve the full benefits anticipated for each project.

Work alongside the WNC IT Project Manager to plan and deliver a clear data cleansing programme of work resulting in a data strategy that will be embraced and implemented across all systems.

You will be working across the organisation, seeking out experts in the services we support and collaborating with colleagues in IT, Northamptonshire Partnership Homes and across West Northants Council.

About you

You will have:

  • Significant experience in the capture analysis and documentation of requirements for IT solutions and Business Change
  • Extensive knowledge of ICT and Data to meet the business and legislative needs
  • Experience of driving forward change projects in a locally focused public service delivery organisation or similar
  • Knowledge of current Data Protection, Data management and Data quality legislation, policy approaches and mitigating best practice
  • Advanced skills to use office ICT systems (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate complex issues to all audiences
  • Significant ability to lead stakeholder analysis and group activities such as workshops and planning sessions
  • Significant ability to influence and challenge others, where appropriate, in order to facilitate business change, and to impact on organisational culture
  • Advanced skills to carry out logical data modelling
  • Ability to undertake research, interpret complex documents and brief management, often translating technical information to business areas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent Team working skills, working together to deliver results to challenging deadlines
  • Confidence to take initiative and take appropriate action without needing direction and instruction within the remit of the role

Education/Training Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent NVQ qualification or significant relevant experience of defining and leading IT based business change re-design
  • Diploma in Business / Data Analysis (or certified modules) or similar
