JOB SUMMARY Maintenance of Medical Equipment Library, ensuring all medical equipment is collected and delivered to clinical areas following processes as detailed in Medical Equipment Library Policy. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Collection of all medical equipment from clinical areas after use Follow decontamination process for medical equipment Delivery of medical equipment to clinical areas Be able to perform basic checks on equipment when they arrive in the Medical Equipment Library or other areas designated by the manager. Be able to provide support and trouble shoot any problems clinical staff may have when using medical equipment Liaise closely with staff from Medical Engineering ensuring equipment receives planned maintenance Ensure accurate database records are maintained Undertake a range of administration & clerical duties associated with the post Be familiar with the Trusts policy/procedure for reporting Clinical Incidents Assist in audits of medical equipment usage Liaise with equipment manufacturers and agents to facilitate equipment availability To be aware of and adhere to the trust mission statement, values and goals.
