Position
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our Finance team at the Jamie Oliver Group! The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work independently.Your main responsibilities will include processing and paying invoices, staff expenses and reconciling Barclaycard bank statements. Having excellent attention to details is crucial for identifying anomalies and you will be comfortable raising concerns when errors are uncovered. Other than being able to work collaboratively with the team, you will be comfortable with escalating any issues or areas of concern and getting stuck in!
This is a permanent, full time position, starting as soon as possible.
Your responsibilities include:
- Purchase invoice processings and payment runs for Jamie Oliver Group invoices and personal expenses
- Post onto SAGE, ensuring all finance team procedures are followed
- Process expense requests for the wider Jamie Oliver Group business
- Prepare and distribute monthly Barclaycard statements, update transactions and send them to the statement holder
- Reconcile Barclaycard statements and identity discrepancies by checking receipts, VAT and descriptions
- Work collaboratively with the wider finance team and ensure all financial information is produced accurately and within time frame agreed with Head of Finance Support Head of Finance with ad-hoc projects as required, such as, updating budget folders with actuals.
Requirements
- Demonstrable solid experience in a similar role or in a variety of Accounting roles
- Good experience with Google Sheet and Excel
- Experience in using SAGE Line 200 or equivalent accountancy package.
- A confident self starter and adaptable to often changing priorities
- Manage a busy workload while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy
You’ll apply an analytical and methodical approach to processes and have excellent communication skills so you’ll be able to effectively deal with colleagues of all levels of the company, including senior management, in a professional and friendly manner.
