Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Technical Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone, email, or through our support ticketing system. Your primary responsibility will be to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to software and hardware, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service while assisting users with technical issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software-related problems, including VPN configurations and service interruptions.
- Assist with computer networking issues, including LAN connectivity and network configurations.
- Support users on both Windows and Mac OS platforms, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
- Document all interactions and resolutions in our ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and Jira.
- Perform hardware diagnostics and repairs as necessary.
- Collaborate with other IT support teams to escalate complex issues when required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies to provide informed support.
Skills
- Proficiency in VPN setup and troubleshooting.
- Strong background in IT support with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Experience in software troubleshooting across various applications.
- Solid understanding of computer networking principles, particularly LAN setups.
- Familiarity with Mac OS environments alongside Windows systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems for issue tracking.
- Knowledge of computer hardware components and their functionality.
- Familiarity with Jira for project management and issue tracking is advantageous.
