About the role


We are currently recruiting an experienced Assigned Checker who will ensure that all mechanical project documentation and associated data is checked and formally approved before issue to a client.


Main Responsibilities

  • Experience of design governance with a particular focus on performing verification of own and the engineering team’s work as an assigned checker through the drawing check and approval process.
  • Authenticate that the work is fit for the stated purpose, meets customer requirements and appropriate standards and procedures have been adhered to.
  • Ability to identify errors and omissions that conflict with required specifications and policies that could include reference drawings, design calculations, design risk assessments etc.


The Person

  • Degree with honours or Level 6 equivalent.
  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent.
  • Several years experience working in mechanical design engineering.
  • Several years experience working within a highly regulated industry (preferably nuclear).
  • Microsoft Office suite.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain security clearance for this role.
