About THE ROLE
The Region nNorth financial accounting team is responsible for ensuring accurate P&L and BS are maintained for all the statutory entities across the region working alongside our shared service centre colleagues in Belgium. Additionally, the team ensure all underlying accounting records are maintained in accordance with relevant accounting principals and all statutory commitments are met timeously. The team own all period closes and work closely with the commercial finance team to identify and explain variances.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage a team of two financial accountants and one finance assistant
- Responsible for all period end close activities and ensuring deadlines are met and results are accurate
- Ownership of day to day audit and statutory deliverables
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate and timely underlying accounting records
- Responsible for ensuring balance sheet is reconciled, reviewed and accurate
- Own the day to day running of audits and other statutory requirements for two legal entities across the UK & Ireland
- Preparation of the statutory accounts for UK & IE
- Collaborate with central tax team to ensure all tax submissions are reviewed and submitted timeously for the UK & IE
- Drive process improvement across the financial accounting landscape to ensure efficiency
- Support the commercial team in the preparation of variance analyses and explanations for budget vs. actual performance
- Assist in the preparation of monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term financial plans
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support for special projects as needed
- Experience with US GAAP would be advantageous
