Job Purpose
- Lead a key therapeutic and consumer toothpaste portfolio with a professional focus to deliver all KPIs including growing share of market, net sales, margin and professional recommendation objectives.
- Grow sales and demand for professionally-focussed toothpaste portfolio - establishing Colgate as the leader in every day caries prevention and sensitivity prevention.
- Grow awareness of the benefits of Colgate toothpaste amongst the dental profession, to drive recommendation at chairside for a professionally endorsed toothpaste.
- Liaise with and influence external UK collaborators to build advocacy for the brand and to advise strategic growth initiatives.
- Work closely with the European team to assess strategic opportunities and build a 5-year pipeline to expand the market and demand for toothpaste portfolio.
- Lead go-to-market activities for new product launches for Northern Europe markets (UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland).
Main Responsibilities
- Own the development and implementation of the annual brand plan for the portfolio and ensure full partner consensus.
- Create and implement specific initiatives and activities following brand plan to drive increased volume and net sales of portfolio across the NE Hub.
- Manage communications to relevant internal collaborators on brand portfolio, including development of detailing materials and roll out of product knowledge during training meetings.
- Ensure timely communication as required with key internal partners on brand issues or activities (Customer Development, CS&L, Finance, Consumer Affairs, Division Professional Marketing).
- Work with Scientific Affairs manager to develop & liaise with KOLs as required.
- Work with relevant external agency partners/ consultants as required to build compelling stories/ proposals, leading to expanded access amongst target professional audience.
- Partner closely with the N. Europe Professional Group Brand Manager to identify market expansion opportunities using market insights.
- Network and form strategic partnerships that support brand strategy and professional objectives.
- Work closely with the EU team to progress current NPD projects and lead the development and implementation of go-to-market strategy and plan.
- Collaborate with Professional Business Managers in Northern Europe countries to build business cases demonstrating market insights, forecasting/projections and gaining launch approval for NPD.
- Manage advertising and promotions budget using key processes including A&P tracker and Ebuy.
- Along with Scientific Affairs Manager, manage product training for all Oral Care Consultants to drive knowledge of portfolio and clinical studies.
- Lead the commercialisation of new professional oral care bundles, including pricing and communication plans across NE countries (UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland).
- Communicate all risks and opportunities within brand responsibility on a timely basis to Group Brand Manager.
Personal Attributes
- Education to degree level is desired.
- Highly competent commercial and analytical skills.
- Basic (oral) health or life sciences, a must.
- Previous healthcare, pharma marketing or consumer health experience desired.
- Strong and effective written and oral communication.
- Personal presence that commands respect/trust and the ability to build strong relationships quickly throughout CP’s matrix structure and external with Dental Professionals.
- Confidence and gravitas to challenge the status quo and influence people at all levels of the organisation.
