Overview of the role:
Understand and analyse user and business needs to ensure outcomes are aligned with departmental and business strategy.
Reporting to our Head of IT Portfolio, the core duties & areas the role will cover includes:

• Utilising a range of tools and techniques to perform effective requirements gathering for new demands, projects and small works.
• Supporting and developing requirements traceability matrixes
• Documenting requirements for both Agile and Waterfall projects, ensuring MoSCoW principles are followed.
• Mapping 'As-Is' and To-Be' business processes as required for the IT Portfolio
• Performing gap analysis and investigating needs/problems then contributing to the recommendation of improvements
• Undertaking impact analysis and identifying the potential consequences of change, and the actions required to accomplish successful change
• Mapping of activities and working in partnership with systems analysts to ensure business needs are translated into solutions
• Ensuring business needs and solutions are delivered to recognised methodologies.
• Preparing policy and process documentation to support the IT Portfolio Team in delivery
• Working effectively with stakeholders of all levels across the business, and ensuring successful transition between technical and non-technical language as appropriate.

The role can be based in our UK, Italian or French based offices, where we have a hybrid & flexible working policy of 3 days per week in the office.
Is this role right for you?
We would like to speak to people who have:

• APMG Agile Business Analysis Foundation Practitioner or equivalent
• Minimum of three years working as a business analyst
• Experience in developing project and portfolio plans that are managed from initial start-up through to project closure
• Experience in facilitating planning workshops with a wide variety of stakeholders
• Experience in developing and contributing to processes and policies for planning and scheduling
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels
• Strong commercial awareness
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment
• Willingness to travel between Manchester, Gloucester, London, Lyon, Paris, Turin and new offices as they open.
