As a Lidl Tax Officer, you’ll be a highly organised and enthusiastic individual joining our tax team. From learning about VAT to communicating with national and international stakeholders, you’ll be an organised and enthusiastic professional, keen to start your career in tax. You’ll also be supporting in the administration and smooth running of the department.

What you’ll do
- Responsible for assistance with indirect taxes (Mainly VAT)
- Providing daily support for the Tax department including collection and analysis of data for indirect taxes returns
- Communication with stakeholders within the team, business, HMRC and international counterparts in Germany
- Coordinating the teams in the office
- Assisting the team with ad hoc tasks and providing administrative support
What you’ll need
- A genuine passion for performing tasks effectively, efficiently and to a high standard
- Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines and a varied workload
- Confident communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- PC literacy – a good working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- A keen eye for detail, self-motivation and a proactive mind-set with a can-do attitude, ownership and the ability to work on projects and solve problems independently
- Experience working in a tax department focusing on VAT is desirable
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Knowledge of SAP, MIS, WAWI is beneficial
- Background in retail would be an advantage
- German language is desirable but not essential
