Job Overview:
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic SEO apprentice to join our team. If you’re

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support SEO Campaigns: Assist in the development, execution, and optimisation of SEO strategies for a variety of clients.
  • Keyword Research: Use tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, and Ahrefs to identify high-impact keywords and content opportunities.
  • On-Page Optimization: Collaborate with the SEO team to update meta tags, content, and linking to improve client website rankings.
  • Technical SEO: Help conduct SEO audits, identify issues (such as broken links, slow load times), and work with developers to resolve them.
  • Content Support: Assist in creating SEO-focused content briefs and coordinate with the content team to ensure optimization best practices.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse the performance of SEO campaigns using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, and other reporting tools.
  • Competitor Analysis: Help conduct competitive research to identify opportunities and gaps in SEO performance.

  • Passion for SEO & Digital Marketing: You don’t need to be an expert yet, but a keen interest and desire to learn are essential.
  • Analytical Mindset: Comfortable working with data, numbers, and analytics tools to drive decision-making.
  • Basic SEO Knowledge: Some experience or coursework related to SEO, whether it's keyword research, content optimization, or using SEO tools.
  • Attention to Detail: You catch the small things that make a big difference in SEO performance.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Both written and verbal – you'll be collaborating with multiple teams.
  • Self-Starter: You’re proactive, able to manage your time effectively, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Campaign Support: Assist with social media campaigns, contests, giveaways, and influencer outreach as needed.
  • Stay Up to Date: Keep up with the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to help us stay ahead in the industry.

Entry requirements

You need to have a GCSE in Maths and English Grade C/4 or above.

You also need to have a general understanding of Search Engine Optimisation - And preferably some experience with your own websites or social media.

Training to be provided

You will be completing Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer Apprentice

(N.B. Formally Digital Marketer Level 3. As of Dec 2023, Digital Marketer has been updated to Multi-Channel Marketer. This new standard expands on the curriculum and provides learning on all aspects of marketing instead of solely focusing on digital marketing.)

As a Multi-Channel Marketer Apprentice, you help with planning, creating and implementing, impactful marketing campaigns across digital platforms. As part of the Marketing team, the multi-channel marketers will contribute to the implementation of the Marketing strategy and plans. They will be responsible for delivering day-to-day marketing activities across a multitude of platforms, channels and systems that are essential to the Marketing function and activities of the company.

Training is a blended learning delivery model: online learning, classroom sessions, work-based training, independent research, workplace projects, one-to-one support and training. Your training will include:

Understanding your Audience & Customer Journey

Research Methodologies and Competitor Analysis

Understanding Business Vision and Objectives

Marketing Campaign Planning and Scheduling

Marketing Plan Implementation

Content Creation: Planning and Development

Content Creation: Tools (Practical)

Copywriting – Persuasive writing techniques

Quality, Standards and Legislation

SEO: Introduction

CMS/WordPress & Cornerstone Content

Metrics & Analytics: Measurement tools

Reports & Optimisation: Google Analytics

For the Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship, there is an end point assessment. This is done in the final part of the apprenticeship and is how the apprentice is judged on their learning and will include:

  • Producing a written Report
  • Portfolio of evidence based work
  • Presentation and Q&A
  • Professional Discussion based on Portfolio

Things to consider

This is a remote role but weekly meet ups in the centre of London at a co working space. So you need to be able to get to London once a week.
