We are currently seeking a dedicated and analytical Financial Reporting Accountant to join our dynamic finance team on a 6 month fixed term contract.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. You will collaborate closely with various departments to gather financial data, assist in the budget process, and support audit requirements. Your expertise will be vital in enhancing our financial reporting capabilities and ensuring the integrity of our financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
• Identify areas for process improvement within financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Requirements

• Part qualified or fully qualified Chartered accountant, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
• Proven work experience in financial reporting or accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in financial reporting systems and MS Excel (advanced skills required).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
