Anaplan is looking to hire an experienced Financial Accountant to its EMEA Accounting team. The successful candidate will look after the day-to-day running of certain EMEA entities, while at the same time being a strong and valued contributor to the whole International Accounting function. This role will support the month-end close process, and external compliance (Accounts/ Audit & VAT). The candidate should expect to leverage current skillsets while focusing on learning quickly and adding value to the existing processes.
Your Impact
- Play an integral role in the monthly close process, including (but not be limited to) preparing/ reviewing journals, reconciliations, and performing B/S and P&L analysis/ commentary
- Lead various EMEA annual audits/account preparations performed by external providers
- Work with our external providers to ensure our VAT/ Corporate tax filings and affairs are up to date
- Prepare VAT returns for our EMEA entities
- Support scaling our processes through automation by working on system implementations and enhancements
- Participation in special projects and ad hoc analysis (i.e. new entity rollout, company directorship changes, etc.)
- Work closely with the Corporate Accounting team in the US on accounting matters/ projects
Your Qualifications
- We will consider qualified accountants or a technically strong ACCA/CIMA finalist, along with candidates who are qualified by experience, as so long as they can demonstrate considerable European experience within a similar role
- Second European language is a strong preference, ideally French or German
- Experience working in/or auditing technology companies
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Good attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communicator
- Demonstrated ownership, problem-solving, and analytical skills, combined with impeccable integrity
- Strong team player with a can-do attitude
- You challenge the old ways of doing things and enjoy changing the status quo to optimize process
- You enjoy working in a dynamic ever-changing, hyper-growth environment
- Intermediate Excel skills and a passion for new technologies
- Experience with Workday Financials is a strong advantage
