Job Title Accounts Assistant
Accountable to Management Accountants/Financial Controller
Hours 37.5 hours per week (Office based)
Required Skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to prioritise workload and work efficiently
- High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Intermediate Excel Skills
- Knowledge of Sage Intacct (desirable)
- Relevant Purchase Ledger experience within a similar role

To act at all times in accordance with the Human Fertilisation & Embryology Authority (HFEA) Code of Practice, the National Healthcare Standards Commission and the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Conduct, CQC & ISO9001.
To promote and maintain a high standard of patient care at all times following and adherence to all CRGH policies and protocols.
General Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate and up to date records of all financial transactions related to purchases
- Timely processing of invoices/credit notes
- Checking purchase invoices against delivery notes, purchase orders and contract prices
- Assigning invoices to the relevant line managers to obtain payment approvals (via Yooz invoice capture system)
- Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring adherence to payment terms
- Review Aged Creditors on a regular basis and chase for any missing invoices
- Resolving supplier queries via email and telephone
- Supplier Statement Reconciliations
- To set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing ones
- Maintain Purchase Ledger mailbox for both locations
- Posting credit card transactions to the finance system and reconciling credit card statements
- Assisting with Sales Ledger on an ad-hoc basis
- Assist with month end/year end on an ad-hoc basis
- Any other ad hoc duties as deemed appropriate by management
