Marketing and Communications Manager Full Time

International architectural practice, Hyphen, has experienced rapid growth in recent years and seeks an experienced Marketing and Communications Manager to help take the group to the next level.

This is an exciting new role at Hyphen and would suit an ambitious individual looking to progress their career in a progressive, multi-cultural environment. Likely to be based in London* and working with senior stakeholders from Hyphen’s offices across Europe and Latin America, this is a group-level role with the benefit of hybrid working and international travel.

Our hybrid working approach means that you’ll be able to work from home for up to three days each week with the remaining time in our London office.

  • For the right candidate, the role could be based in another European Hyphen office.
The role

To improve and enhance Hyphen’s visibility and multi-national market positioning, to help attract and retain clients, colleagues and potential recruits.

Responsibilities include:
Working with the Director of Business Development and Head of Brand and Communication to define and manage the group’s Marketing and Communication Plan and budget.
Managing Hyphen’s communications channels including (but not limited to) the website, social media, intranet and events.
Writing and overseeing the creation of high-quality, engaging written and video content.
Managing relationships with relevant external agencies and suppliers such as website developers and SEO specialists.
Collaboration and stakeholder management: Build relationships with key stakeholders and work closely with multi-national teams to align marketing and communications initiatives with business objectives and form Hyphen’s point of view on relevant topics.
Ensuring consistent messaging across all channels of communication, developing and maintaining the company’s tone of voice, brand values and identity.
Managing Hyphen’s content calendar and proactively sourcing new content ideas, campaigns and stories.
Reporting on marketing and communications activity to the leadership team and in the company’s Annual Report.
Keeping abreast of marketing and communications trends to identify opportunities for new content and channels.
Line manager to the Communications Executive.
Your skills and experience
8+ years’ experience in a marketing and communications role, ideally in an international, professional services organisation, at management level.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or comparative qualification.
Proven track record in managing B2B marketing and communications.
Flexible and open to travel to Hyphen’s offices across Europe and Latin America.

Essential

Proven experience in internal and external communications, including managing websites and social media accounts.
Excellent written and spoken English
Confident communicator and collaborator, experienced in working alongside a range of senior stakeholders; both in and outside the business.
Planning and project management, with the flexibility to adapt and work under pressure, whilst maintaining focus on longer-term campaigns and initiatives.
Experienced in working with brand guidelines, including tone of voice and messaging.
Strong attention to detail and proofreading abilities.

Desired

Experience of working internationally and in the AEC industry.
Management of live events
Media monitoring and PR
Proficiency in additional languages, specifically: Spanish, French, German or Italian.

Software skills

Advanced use of LinkedIn and WordPress
Intermediate-level use of Adobe Premiere Pro, SharePoint and MS Office 365
Basic-level in Adobe After Effects, InDesign, Google Analytics and Yoast.
