Overview

To help us achieve our mission and deliver our objectives, we are seeking to recruit a Regional Engineer. The role will be integral in supporting our digital journey, both for our people and for the people that use our services. There is much to be done to take us on this journey, and the opportunity to make a real difference is significant.

This role will be customer facing - helping with hardware, software and general IT support on site representing the IT department. Reporting directly into the Regional Engineer Team Leader.

You will provide support to CGL operational staff and clients in respects of all IT across central London, Greater London and several home counties. (travelling outside this area may be required when necessary).

Responsibilities

  • To install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot all CGL IT hardware across the organisation and provide daily operational support to CGL projects in a cost effective and timely manner, allowing CGL personnel to meet organisational objectives.

  • implementation or removal of complete or partial IT environments for new, existing or terminated contracts, ensuring that strict deadlines are adhered to. This may include communicating effectively with partnership agencies to ensure that all IT and data needs are considered and accounted for together.
  • Liaising with 3rd party suppliers to ensure hardware uniformity, together with build and configuration.

  • To ensure that relevant CGL staff are aware of your schedule and that any changes to that schedule are communicated effectively within the business to enable projects to remain operationally effective.

  • Advise and investigate the suitability of new and existing hardware and software for use within CGL
  • Trouble-shoot IT problems as and when they arise within given service level agreements
  • Provide advice and support to CGL staff on matters of IT and where requested, deliver basic IT training individually or in groups if required.
  • Implement all categories of data cabling for network installations where required.
  • Ensure that any hardware/software in your possession remains safe and secure.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,226.32-£37,790.74 per year
