Business Intelligence (BI) enhances internal teams’ decision-making by providing data analysis and developing measures to extract meaning from Amazon Advertising’s global operations. We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer for the Amazon Ads Marketing Insights team with strong analytical, visualization and communication skills to join our team. This role will be a working closely with Product Managers, Scientists and Engineering leaders within Marketing Tech and the wider Ads Marketing organization. You will design, develop data infrastructure, evangelize, and implement state-of-the-art solutions for never-before-solved problems, helping the team build great products and solutions.

Key job responsibilities
  • Design and develop automated, user-friendly measurement pipelines, reports, and dashboards to support internal partners across the Ads Marketing organization.
  • Recommend new metrics, techniques, and strategies to enhance customer experience by understanding insights requirements through data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements.
  • Enable data-driven decision-making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources, presenting it in a clear and actionable format.
  • Work with engineering and product teams to identify product gaps and trends.
  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to inform key business decisions.
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
A day in the life
You will develop and implement advanced models and tools, perform statistical analysis, and evaluate large datasets to create customized models and dashboards. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in designing a reliable and scalable infrastructure for ongoing reporting and analytics within the Marketing Insights realm. Your responsibilities will also include structuring complex problems, designing analytics solutions across multiple disciplines, and providing actionable recommendations that inform strategic planning, product strategy and launches, engineering improvements, marketing campaign optimization, customer trends, and research.
