The Opportunity

As a member of the UK, India, Middle East and Africa (UKIMEA) Marketing. Communications and Business Development (MCBD) team, this role is responsible for delivering the marketing activities defined by the Director of MCBD and the Business Partners for the following areas of the business.

  • Property, Science and Industry
  • Energy, Water and Resources
  • Transport
  • Cities, Planning, Design and London
  • Climate Sustainability and Digital Services
  • Advisory and Technical Specialist Services
  • Geographies
  • Focus Markets
  • Region Leadership Team

You will be aligned with the dynamic Property, Science and Industry (PS&I) Portfolio, which includes the sectors of property, healthcare, education, and technology. You'll also engage with regional and global teams to deliver impactful marketing initiatives and measure their success. This role requires strong collaboration, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with Business Partners and stakeholders to design and implement marketing plans that align with business goals. You'll lead the tactical execution of campaigns, ensuring maximum return on investment and brand consistency. Working across disciplines such as client marketing, communications, PR, and digital, you'll guide a strategic approach that reflects Arup’s global standards.

This role reports to the Head of Marketing who acts as the subject matter expert within the UKIMEA Marketing and Communications Operations team which includes the disciplines of marketing, client marketing, internal and external communications, public affairs and visual communications.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for people who:

  • Have worked in a fast-paced, matrixed professional services environment.
  • Hold a professional qualification or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Have excellent writing, presentation and communication skills with an ability to build a rapport with stakeholders of all levels and exercise sound judgement in dealings with them.
  • Have creative curiosity and demonstrable interest in best practice and learning new approaches.
  • Have previous marketing experience in any of the sectors of property, science, industry, technology, healthcare, education, sport and arts and culture will be highly beneficial.
