Vacancy Details
As an IT Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our network and infrastructure. This position is a blend of 2nd/3rd line support and project implementation work, covering technologies such as Windows and Linux servers, firewalls, routers, and switches. You will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure our systems run efficiently, and you will be responsible for the planning and execution of key IT projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd/3rd line support for day-to-day IT operations and resolve escalated issues efficiently.
- Maintain and manage Windows and Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Oversee and configure network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Implement and manage system upgrades, patches, and new installations.
- Collaborate with the team to lead IT infrastructure projects, from design to deployment.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across a variety of platforms.
- Monitor system performance, ensuring uptime and reliability.
- Maintain IT documentation and support knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar IT Systems Administrator role.
- Strong technical skills in managing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux server environments.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco/FortiGate firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols, VPNs, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable Certifications:
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
- Microsoft Certifications (MCSA, MCSE, etc.).
- Cisco CCNA or other relevant networking certifications.
