In-house Accountant / Bookkeeper duties and responsibilities (particularly experienced in the Xero and Sage)

Salary: £15.50 per hour (8 hours shift) – (Part-time / 3 days prer week / Immediate Start)

A Junior Accountant, or Assistant Accountant, provides support to the accounting department by handling general accounting tasks on a daily basis. Their primary duties include preparing financial statements, issuing receipts and invoices and updating the financial database.

Your day-to-day duties and responsibilities include:

• Assisting with management accounts preparations
• General bookkeeping on Xero and Sage
• Provide accounting support to clients as needed.
• Issuing payment invoices and receipts to clients
• Preparing and submitting periodic financial reports to management
• Making payments and Performing account reconciliations
• Processing income statements, balance sheets and other management account reports, under the supervision of senior management.
• Reviewing expenditures of the company such as payroll and petty cash expenses
• Assisting with VAT returns, and asset audits, as necessary
• Assisting with other accounting tasks, as assigned by management/directors.
• Assisting on Airbnb, Lettings team with the ASTs, contracts, rents and deposits.

Suitability and Eligibility: A candidate with prior experience in using the Xero Accounting System would be preferred.
