About you:
- This is a London based hybrid role, you will be expected to be in the office 1-2 times weekly
- AAT level 3 qualified / a basic understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and bookkeeping would be preferable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- The ability to use your own initiative
- Problem-solving skills and proactive in addressing queries.
- The ability/willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
What will you be doing:
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Assist in managing both accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices, monitoring payment schedules, and ensuring timely collections.
- Bank Reconciliations: Support the daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Expense Management: Assist in the monitoring and reconciliation of employee expenses in accordance with company policies.
- Billing & Invoicing: Help with the generation and distribution of customer invoices, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
- Data Entry & Record Keeping: Maintain and update financial records in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) with attention to detail.
- Audit Support: Assist in preparing documentation and reports required during external audits.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving finance processes and contribute to efficiency enhancements.
- Problem Solving: Helping to resolve customer and internal team queries in a timely manner.
- System Processing: Leading on the daily processing of receipts, statements and payments for an area of the business.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Support the finance team with any other tasks as required.
